The absolute first thing they should bring back would be the paddling 
inside schools.  When the physical discipline threat went away, the kids 
got a free pass for misbehavior, imo.  A teacher really cracked me one 
time in high school, and I could have probably got him in trouble for 
it...but I deserved it....I was a smart ass making a jerk out of him and 
he put an end to it quick.  I don't begrudge him for doing what he 
probably should have done...I would have if I were him.  Today, the 
Berkeley logic of student rights in a non-dictatorship school authority 
system rules....and see how our schools have become.  Put the discipline 
back in the schools first...and then see what an improvement it would 
probably make across the landscape.
