They are making solar panels now that look like
roofing, so they are even more eye-friendly now.

As Gil was saying, they have a roughly  9 year
payback.  Over the life of the panels, usually 25
years, that's almost a 5%, compounded monthly,
investment that's tax-free and guaranteed.  And if the
price of electric goes up or the panels last longer,
it will be an even better investment.

I also like looking at windmills and don't find them
to be an eyesore at all.  And, of course, they
generate electricity even when it's night time.
