Well, Matt was just complaining the other day that he was going to
have to take down his server to replace a hard disk drive, after only
651 days of continuous, 24-hour operation.

Probably the biggest complain is propretary hardware drivers or
playing encumbered formats.

Some upgrades are a bigger deal than others, so it's better to do
major upgrades as "clean installs" rather than trying upgrades in
place, for some software.
