oh, and I freely admit being in favor of protectionist policies...that I have no qualms about making quite public. I believe each nation should protect its own first, then reach out beyond its borders. Preferential treatment for your citizens over non-citizens? Absolutely. Don't tell me we have to compete equally with non-citizens when the playing field isn't level/fair. The Indians, according to NBC's Today Show article awhile back about "your job; your future" -- they work 6 days/week, about 10-12 hours/day. No freakin' way I can compete equally with that and continue the regular US standard of living. And that doesn't make me lazy either. No American, in their right mind, would want to work those kinds of hours for the amount of compensation they get. http://m-w.com/dictionary/protectionist _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
