Various AV solutions, but specifically Symantec and Norton, can cause huge performance problems and file locking issues. I've never had to disable any AV, I just exclude the data folder for the application from the on-access scanning. They're DBF files, they're not going to get infected with anything, and since the main threat nowadays isn't viruses but trojans and security holes your EXE files will probably be OK as well. _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
