AFAIK that's not possible with VNC.  If the client is behind a NAT
firewall it wont work without a forwarded port.  No good if you have a
non tech-savy customer or they have many desktops you need to access.

I use a program called DeskShare.  Not free but works OK.  Enables you
to put a DeskShare icon in your app.  Customer clicks on the icon
which asks for a 4 digit pin.  You run the server software that
generates the pin.
