Michael,
I have had this happen many times and it is always down to the fact that
Outlook.exe is running on the machine in two separate sessions , one of
which you can't see apart from in the task manager.

I can recreate it if I Sync Outlook up with my PDA then pull the plug in the
middle of a resync which sometimes looks as though it shuts down Outlook but
it doesn't really. Then if you reload Outlook you will find two instances
running in the Task Manager, each of which proceeds to download email to the
relevant session - hence duplicates.

I posted a query about this about 18 months ago thinking that it was Ed's
server at fault before I found out the real reason.

I've only had that happen when Outlook didn't finish downloading, and the
emails on the server weren't deleted. The next time, I got the duplicates.

Hi Michael!

This has happened to me from time to time, I have always thought it was on
the
sender end. I remember that there was a choice in Eudora to send text, html
or both and I think if the sender sent both I would get each. Can this
happen
in Outlook?
