Steve: That is the beauty of Python! I have already seamlessly integrated it into my applications and my applications comply with DBA's requirements, audits, etc. Using Python is no different than using VFP.
All I have to do is provide an application that meets their requirements on Vista, etc. Python has 64 bit, and can literally do anything you can do with .NET or anything else. My customers are perfectly satisfied with my solution. I am using Ubuntu for my own systems. My customers will never use anything other and Microsoft. *BUT* I can provide M$ compliant applications that use MSSQLServer that are written in Python and it makes no difference to them as long as I meet all of their requirements. I have to comply with some very strict internal audits that I have no problem complying with. The language I use is of no relevance to the audits.
