Sure VW deserve credit, however they aren't driving it forward in a way
like Audi (Who are owned by VW and share development labs at Wolfsburg)
are seen to be doing.

VW could have easily decided at management level that they not Audi
would have entered Le Mans and won it with a diesel, it'd have been the
same diesel that Audi took but they have obviously taken a view that
they won't be seen as the diesel pioneer within the Volkswagen Audi
Group which also encompasses Seat, Bugatti, Bentley, Skoda etc...

I have a Mercedes Benz Diesel which I'm quite pleased with but will be
looking at the Honda diesel next time which is far better than the
current crop from most other manufacturers.

In Turkey and the US I drive a petrol but in the UK always diesel with
the way the tax system favours them.

Hi Adam, I'll hide and watch regarding the new diesel design. BTW, I
think VW deserves a little more respect in her effort in bringing
affordable, small diesel autos to the U.S., don't you think?
