I liked and appreciated JVP's posts. They were well thought out and to the point. Yes, they were abrasive. Most of the noise on the list was personal attacks against JVP, not messages from JVP himself. In fact, IIRC, I don't believe he ever responded to the purely personal attacks. That must be a very tough thing to do. I don't care where people are politically, if technical things are being discussed in an intelligent fashion. Certain people do have an incessant habit of posting nonsense, which is a total waste of everyone's energy. Intelligence is key. I'm all for censoring people below an IQ of, say, 80. But who's going to do the testing?
