Yeah, it really would be difficult to top (bottom?) this
administration.
What I also hope is that we can finally begin to move away from the
politics of slime that have characterized the last 20 years or so. My
biggest fear of a Hillary presidency would have nothing to do with her
policies; it would be that we would continue the same pattern of
attack that crippled the first Clinton presidency. Remember in 1993
when Bill took office? He had a wonderful agenda of changes planned,
but after the family leave/COBRA stuff that he immediately got
through, and then the Republicans bogged things down with the whole
"gays in the military" ploy, and then followed with investigation
after investigation, so that very little got enacted after that.
While Hillary may make a good President, I doubt she'll get the
chance. At least with Obama they slime machine will have to regroup in
order to figure out how to cripple him. With Hillary, they're already
stocked with ammo and drooling at the opportunity.
