I was referring to John McCain, who seems to be the obvious Republican
Party candidate for President. John McCain is very hawkish on the Iraq
war/surge, containment of Iran's nuclear ambitions, war on terror, and
war in general, so to some extent, the youth seem to have something
personally at stake in seeing him elected, which has made the youth of
the USA more politically active than usual, because they would not like
the draft being brought back. If Hillary is nominated to carry the
banner as the Democratic candidate for president, I expect the youth
would rally around her.

The youth are probably also drawn to Obama over Hillary, because of his
inspiring speeches about ending the lobbying influences in politics,
ending the bickering in congress, and unifying the country.
Accomplishing these things is easier said than done. Congress, and the
American people, will not necessary end their bipartisanship behavior
just because Obama is elected president, nor will the lobbist in
Washington mysteriously disappear because he become President. LOL
