I think exactly the opposite. Hillary has been a committed party member for
a very long time. Nobody has a "right" to be president whether somebody
thinks it is their "turn" or not. She gets it. I get it. The reality is that
you and Madigan and apparently Ed are still in that zone of discounting a
woman's achievements in favor of a man whether he's more accomplished or
not.

Reality is that women got the vote 55 years after black men got it. I've
been hearing so many sexist things from people about how we're not ready for
a woman president, and I'm just tired of it all. Life is too short to get
riled by the skirmishes in a war that started for me before I was even a
teenager.

I once dumped a guy in the middle of a date after hearing him launch a
diatribe about Sally Ride's appointment in the physics department of UCSD. I
knew I could never get along with a guy that was so sour on a woman that was
a hero to me.

Anyway, life goes on.
