On Wednesday I called in a problem with my Dell
notebook. The power connector jack had worked itself
loose inside the case and was intermittent connecting
and disconnecting.

Speaking to a technician, probably in India, a woman
with a thick Indian accent worked me through
troubleshooting. What I liked about her is when I
told her I was a computer technician, she didn't run
me through the usual nonsense. It did take a long
time for her to set up a repair ticket. It sounded
like she had to type and retype things into her
system. I would think that it should be more turn-key
to send a technician.

So I get a call today from the technician at 9:00, he
shows up at 11:00 through a snowstorm, and has the
repair completed by 12:00. He replaced the
motherboard, the keyboard and the ac adapter.

This is why I continue to buy from Dell.
