People have been trying to assassinate presidents for a very long time. Ford and Reagan had attempts on their lives too. Frankly, I agree that it is likely there will be some people that will want to assassinate Obama, but I don't think it is going to happen. Security is much better these days, and the ill will against non-whites is steadily declining. They'd feel that way if Hillary took the nomination too. There are always hateful people.
