I just got through voting early, and I voted for Barack Obama. When I presented my voting registration, it was stamped "Democrat", but when I ask if I was locked into the Democratic Party during the General election, I was told I was only locked in to the primary, should there be a Democratic run off. Otherwise, I was free to vote Republican or Democrat during the general election.
While voting I overheard another voter request a Democratic ballot. She told the election official she would be voting as a Democrat during the primaries, but would be voting as a Republican during the general election. She didn't say which Democratic candidate would get her vote, but she did say she would be voting for the lessor of the two evils, which I took to mean Barack Obama. Abilene, Texas is predominately a community of Religious Fundamentalist, so my guess is there is a lot of this going on around here. The location where I voted early was Hastings Bookstore, so I picked up a couple of Blu-Ray DVDs while there. I recently purchased a HDTV. I purchased a Playstation 3 yesterday from Circuit City, and I have it all hooked up to the HDTV; ready to go. While out I ran by Wal-Mart and picked up a 50 ft RG6 Quad-shield coaxial cable to run the antenna to my HDTV. I've spent too much money on stuff recently, but everything is paid up, free and clear at this point. Now, if I could just swing a HDTV for the living room. It seem like there always something.
