A gentleman with a TDI Jetta was asking me about my smart car and he
claimed he got 60 mpg. The highest I have gotten so far is 43.5 mpg. I
mentioned to him that they had a diesel version of smart in Europe but
they haven't made it here yet. Then he mentioned the cost of gas which
is now $3.69 a gallon for diesel and predicted to hit $4 to $5 real soon
now. I last paid $3.31 for 93 octane gas. I do get the celebrity
treatment with people asking me about the car and folks giving me the
thumbs up at stop lights. I put together a blog (still under
construction) since I have become an expert on the smart car
<http://www.im-smrt.com/>. My license plate is IM SMRT.
