I had some issues with the LANMAN server service ( still do, actually) since
installing SP1, but in all fairness I don't think it's a 1:1 kind of thing
as some googling showed me other things that could have caused it. ( A free
case of beer to whoever can tell me how to reinstall that service inside of
vista w/o reloading the OS...) Most of the annoyances of Vista still remain
after SP1, at least on my PC's. they include slowwwww folder browsing across
networks, slow boot ups, too many things I have to turn off to make it run
the way I want...

Subject: [NF] Does Vista SP 1 still inhale vigorously?

Hey - - -- - -- -

For reasons too obscure to say here, I think we need to install V- SP1. I
looked through the archives, but I'm not sure -- is there compelling reason
*not* to apply SP1? I see that some people have had poorer performance --
weren't there some other issues?
