They can use the computer and make a call at the same time, according to the
sites FAQs. I have no clue how the ads come up, whether just a little
notification on the task bar, or a full blown popup/ launched internet browser
ad.

And of course I know that there is typically no such thing as a free lunch, but
they should offer a way to get rid of the ads, such as for 20 bucks a year you
get the free service with ads, for 5 dollars a month, you get ads every 10 uses,
for 10 a month you get ads every 20 uses, and so forth.

I've actually never used the magic jack.  I wonder if
it pops screens over what the user is using.  I wanted
to pitch this to my collection agency client as a way
to dramatically lower costs, but if the collector
