I programming in a LISP based expert system when I worked at Lockheed many moons ago. It governed a suite of applications where the goal was to have our program write other programs. Very cool stuff. Then, the USSR collapsed and Lockheed was going to be laying off people and I was the new kid on the block. Sigh.
