Yes for manuals that I frequently use. Or for products I was trying to learn. Apress offers some of its printed (commercial) publications as free PDF downloads. For topics I'm interested in (Python), I've chosen to purchase the hard copy books as well. Why? I prefer to read via paper and I also want to give back to the original authors and sponsoring publisher.
