I do carry a English/French dictionary on my pocketpc. It helps a great deal
but translates,,, not

My imagination is going just a little wild with this stuff, but it just
seems so easy to imagine that with modern "shrinkage" of everything
technical that a device we should all have at our disposal, be in on the
Internet, our PC's, and in our pockets, would be a language translator (with
software + large dictionaries built right into thumbnail size ROM/RAM).

I'm extremely tempted to go into the [OT] reasons for why we so badly need
this.
