Gureumi, I second what Stephen has said in that 2K8 is certainly very stable without an SP. I don't even know if there is one on the horizon and it runs everything (with minor mods to do with framework differences only) that 2K5 has done but only with SP1.
It would seem that M$ have actually got this developer product right at the first attempt and I can't fault it at all - apart from the fact that I'm still learning every day. One recommendation as a usefull tool would be to look at "JetBrains Resharper" which is an ideal tool especially when you are learning your way around all the millions of classes. It has certainly saved me hours and hours of work when refactoring code. Well worth the small investment.
