Exactly. That is why the melting glaciers in Greenland and Antarctica are
the cause of the sea level rise that is being projected. The ice on
Antarctica sits primarily on the continental land mass, is 2 miles thick,
and covers an area close to the size of the North American continent.

That's a lot of ice. Enough to raise the sea levels by FEET, not just
inches. The projection is 20 feet for Antarctica, and 20 more feet for
Greenland. And since the ice is fresh water and not salt water, it can
change the salination levels in the places where the new fresh water will
flow into the oceans.
