Well I finally received the contract to sign for the extension. After assuring me that the contract would be exactly the same except for the period of performance, they changed the termination clause.
The previous clause had an "out" for me if the company "materially breached" the contract. This was something my attorney strongly suggested I put in. In other words, if the company did something that was a clear violation of the contract, I had to notify them in writing and have three days for the company to rectify it. If there was no remediation, I could terminate the contract. So instead of just taking the contract we both agreed to and signed, and then changing the dates, they went back to the pre-attorney review contract. You couldn't make this stuff up. _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
