OK, on a serious note. The problem is deeper than that.

They believe *they* were owed the presidency. The internalized her candidacy
as *their* candidacy. It's the same thing with blacks and Obama. 

Any criticism of The Messiah is a criticism of *them*--nay, even of their
*patriotism*!

Such is the bottomless pit of identity politics, upon which every form of
tyranny known to man has reared its ugly head, and been resurrected from the
ash can of history innumerable times.

Ah, humanity!
