The deadline is really bogus. Dell has a program where you Vista and downgrade 
to XP for $50, and XP
comes loaded. This plan I believe is available now, definitely available after 
the XP cutoff date,
and will be available for some time to come. If I recall correctly based on 
what my rep told me, for
at least two years.  Perfect for those that want the common office environment 
based on XP.

I have not read if any other vendors are taking this smart approach to customer 
satisfaction.

No need to accelerate any computer purchases.
