- - - "They're going to try to make you afraid of me. He's young and inexperienced and he's got a funny name. And did I mention he's black?" ... Obama, born to a white mother from Kansas and a black father from Kenya, has cast himself as a candidate who can bridge divides within the country, including those involving race. It has been rare for him to bring up the topic during his presidential bid. - - - This is such hogwash. He and his surrogates in the media bring it up ALL THE FREAKIN' TIME. It is they who want to focus on the color of his skin, the technical merits of his oratory skills, rather than the content of his character, or the substance of his proposals. Conservative opposition to him has nothing whatever to do with his race, and everything to do with his character, the character of his friends and associates (not to mention 'spiritual advisors'), and the 'failed policies of the past' that he and the radical left-leaning Dems are recycling and trying to paint as something new and fresh. Leftists are the ultimate dividers. Everything for them is based on race, sex/sexuality, culture, ethnicity. Everyone is a hyphenated American to them, a special class of victims who need an all-powerful, centralized government to redress their never-ending complaints, take what others have and give it to people who don't want to work for it, and overall use the monopoly of force of government to beat their rival hyphenated American groups into good behavior. Their *philosophy* is repugnant, and when they have the kind of power they stand to obtain next November (if the continual psy-ops campaign of the media is successful) then there is much of which to be afraid, quite legitimately, at least if you're an American who loves limited government, religious freedom and economic choice. - Bob _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
