Yes, I misspoke.  Currently reactor rods can be used to shut down a 
nuclear power plant, but it is not an instantaneous process, nor is it 
failsafe.

There must be billion ways that a nuclear reation could go wrong, and 
accidents happen ever day.  When an accident happens to me, I'm alway 
amazed, because, I never know what's going to get me.
