IANAHG (I am not a hardware guy), but.... 1. make sure everything is seated properly. Take it out, replace, double check cables. 2. is it getting really hot where this thing sits? 3. See if you can dig up a different video card and slap it in there. If you are lucky i.e. your machine is sofistimacated enough it might auto sense it and let it override an onboard one. If not you will have to play games with the BIOS and/or jumpers. 4. Run mem check from one of your live linux distros. Who knows - maybe the video thing is just a red herring and the real problem lies with onboard memory (or other). -- Matthew S.
