Hi Matt! I was hoping to avoid that, seeing that the Solo is a notebook and everything is proprietary. I am not sure I can even get the case open, never having cracked this one before. Do you know the case opens? > 2. is it getting really hot where this thing sits? Not really, you can touch it without getting burned. > 3. See if you can dig up a different video card and slap it in there. That's hopeless. The video card is most likely soldered in anyway. Anyone got a spare Gateway 9300 video card? > 4. Run mem check from one of your live linux distros. It won't get that far, it dies at the memory check in the POST. Believe it or not, GW still supports it! http://support.gateway.com/s/Mobile/Solo_Series/P9300/p9300nv.shtml -- Regards, Pete http://pete-theisen.com/ _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
