What we have today is in dire straights, and we need revenue coming to REDUCE the MASSIVE debt that we have curtosy of Events and not business activities. Events were massive under Bush. 9/11 and the profound change to business, lack of business as usual. Then Katrina that shot the price of gas up to the 3.50 per gal level with NO support for that pricing. On top of that we have the stupidity of Ethanol, it's wild and reckless abuse on Americas breadbasket. The Tax incentives were to bring more investment capital to produce more businesses that would employ more people who paid income tax. Well our Global investment capabilities allow any of us to invest in Brazil or China. You get better returns there and why not go for earnings? Unfortunately those equate to no jobs in America, no taxes paid by your neighbors in other states. This is why we have to STOP the gift of disregard to our brothers and sisters at home. If there was a retention of the Capital Gains breaks for only USA incorporated companies, I would be in favor of that. GM would have to then come back to America as their home :) Take that gift away for non US corporation investments. Let's reward business growth in America, and tax those who reap rewards outside. But to extend the STUPIDITY that was granted and then abused by the average person is just wrong in our current economic condition. > 3 Drilling our own oil - McCain is now talking about us using our own > resources, while Obama thinks we should develop other strategies, which will > take a decade to happen. The airports cannot handle the size of a plane to actually carry the equipment for drilling. So you have to wait till it freezes up to truck stuff there. You only have a limited time when the ice is safe, even in the fake global warming, trucks can fall through a 36 inch thick ice sheet when loaded with drilling supplies. > 5 Energy independence - see above. McCain has no practical energy knowledge. The very thought of dropping the fed taxes for the summer to make you feel better was asinine. After that pearl he then said that the US Government would give a cash prize for a great idea in energy production or consumption. That is so 1920s I question how old he really is. We need to have Industry give that prize away. Those companies that come up with new ideas will grow, prosper and continue the trend. Investments will be made and massive amounts of money will be earned by some. > 10 Terrorism - McCain hands down What has he done in Arizona in the immigration fiasco? If your a member of a millita then your rights are guaranteed for gun ownership. Past that do we really need to allow everyone to purchase machine guns, sniper rifles, and grenade launchers? > 12 Supreme Court - McCain has promised to put sane(conservative) judges on > the court. Obama would probably go for more Kikis (Ruth Bader Ginsburg). Judges who approve open governmental snooping of citizens are the biggest problem we have on the bench today. > > I can't see any reason, not one issue, that would cause me to vote for > Obama. I want a do over in the primarys. -- Stephen Russell Sr. Production Systems Programmer Mimeo.com Memphis TN 901.246-0159 _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
