>Your plan doesn't make sense; because, it assume that the prisoner is guilty

A prisoner does not get to be a prisoner without being convicted by a jury of
his peers. Now, why is it you have a healthy distrust for this governmental
system, but have faith in other governmental functions?

Beyond this, you are making the assumption that life in prison is more humane
than execution. I'm not so sure about that. Not that we want to make it easy
on the bad guys, but think about how you would feel about the prospect of jail
for the rest of your life, never again being free to just walk down the street,
or spend holidays with your family and friends, having your 300 pound, tatooed
cellmate as your main squeeze. The needle does not look so bad if those are
your prospects for the rest of your life.

Which brings up another point.... I detest the use of medical technology to
take a human life. It should not be an easy and clean process that leaves the
executioner unaffected. Witnesses should leave the event somewhat disturbed by
watching some die by electrocution or poisonous gas. I think the lethal
injection makes the whole process too clean and too easy. Think about that a
bit.
