Whatever is an ickle point?

I find it interesting that the left always blames the budget deficit or
'daficit' as Jim Sasser used to say, on the Bush tax cuts. No one ever blames
it on the increased spending... for a whole lot more than Iraq. That is a drop
in the bucket compared to all the other crap the govt wastes our money on.
Sure W signed off on the increases and deserves his share of the blame for it.

However, we just keep moving forward demanding and expecting more from Uncle
Sam without questioning if we are going down the right path. It's time as Ayn
Rand and Ron Paul have told us that we need to examine our basic premises.

If you accept the premise that bloated govt is the most effective, then, of
course, you will believe that tax cuts cause deficits. However to do this, you
have to ingore the fact that revenues generally rise when reasonable tax cuts
are implemented... witness the Kennedy and Reagan tax cuts... as well as Bush.
The basic reason to dislike the cuts is because the rich may benefit from them
and there are those attempting to divide the country by looking for scapegoats
to blame our problems on - kind of like the Nazis did with the Jews, then the
Catholics, etc., etc.. If you understand that many times govt is the problem,
not the solution, then you will understand that excessive spending is the cause
of the deficits.
