I have sites on all kinds of different topics that are of interest to me. I buy content for them or write it myself, and put ads and affiliate links on them. They do turn a profit now, but it has taken 18 months for them to get to that point as a group. Previously, there were a few profitable sites and more that cost more than they brought in. Now the entire group pays for itself plus a small profit. None of them are porn or dating or gambling, and I don't accept links from those types of sites. Mainly they're things about gardening, crafts, entertainment, outdoors, cars, Siberian Huskies, and so forth. Lots of different things.
