I only mentioned that PostgreSQL is both Windows and Linux capable for the benefit of anyone who may also be looking for SQL Server alternatives that would be open to Linux as opposed to just Windows. Also, to show that if one were to need to move from Window$ there is no need to reinvest into a yet again different database solution.
