I use the same way except when I crash with some conversion issues 
(delimited fields, etc.). In that case I create a cursor with a memo 
field, do an append blank and fill that memo field with whatever I wish 
(repla myMemo with myMemo + whatever in myCursor), finally I do a "Copy 
Memo myMemo to myTextFile" (with or without ADDITIVE).
