I am really appalled at the fact the NYT rejected McCain's op ed after printing Obama's. That's low even by their entirely compromised standards. But when you follow the money, you see the whole mainstream media *really is* in the tank for the Obamessiah. So much for the fairness doctrine. I note parenthetically that McCain was a bit crankier than usual today in his criticism of Obama's position on the surge. Maybe the dunderhead is finally getting a clue about his long-cultivated "friends" in the media. If I see another nanosecond of footage of His Gloriousness' Pilgrimage to Europe, I'm going to puke. Take this guy off his teleprompter and he's as bumbling and fumbling as Quayle or Bush ever were. But you won't hear it on the nightly news. Beck today had a great segment on how we became unhinged from the Constitution during Woodrow Wilson's administration, and read some really eye-popping passages from Wilson's books that really gave me pause. It was after all under Wilson's admin that the income tax was passed, and he instituted the first truly propagandistic public opinion-controlling "committee" and internal police (well before Hitler or Stalin did it in fact) that rounded up tens of thousands of citizens on charges of lack of patriotism during WWI. Wilson makes even the most ridiculous caricature of Dubya look like a piker in comparison. Then he played some of Obama's words that mesh quite nicely with the Wilson quotes he played.
