        That would be a wonderful definition if it were equally applied to  
all. Remember, though, that Obama was accused of plagiarism for using  
a paragraph spoken first by Deval Patrick, even though Patrick said  
that he had willingly shared that prose with his friend. That story  
was covered extensively, especially by the traditional right-wing  
press, even though there was no possibility of it being true.

        McCain clearly lifted text without attribution. If you want to pull a  
typical Republican word play ("It's not a recession; it's a tough  
period"), then be my guest.
