Remember, though, that Obama was accused of plagiarism for using a paragraph spoken first by Deval Patrick, even though Patrick said that he had willingly shared that prose with his friend. That story was covered extensively, especially by the traditional right-wing press, even though there was no possibility of it being true. McCain clearly lifted text without attribution.
