As a general rule, if it ain't broke, you might not want to try to fix it. If this is just an annoyance and not causing them any great hardship, it might be cheaper to put up with it that to risk turning the machine into a brick and having to restore everything. Control Panel, Networking will get you to the dialog that lets you remove networking drivers. However, expect the machine to demand the original install disk to load in the original networking software; make sure you have that handy. Then, you'll likely need a set of security patches to get those network drivers up to snuff. Does MS still offer patches for Windows 2000? If this is post-2003 Novell Client, from Novell not Microsoft, you might also have to remove portions through Add/Remove Software in Control Panel. It'll be clearly marked Novell. It would be wise to image the disk before you start so at worst, you can restore the image and continue with things as they are... Backing up essential docs, too. And testing to make sure you can read the backups. Can you tell I'm risk averse? That's why I run Linux. :) -- Ted Roche Ted Roche & Associates, LLC http://www.tedroche.com _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
