Ha, expert? Maybe you have not heard Pete, I hate hardware (wires, wireless, networking, dip switches, OS problems, security, peripherals, circuit boards, etc.). It is only a means to my end. I much rather deal with the custom software and solve the business problems. I hire out all the hardware support except for the family and friends. Are you serious or exaggerating Pete? Hi Rick! But, you see, I am not the expert you are. The boxes would get all loaded up with ad and spyware that I couldn't get rid of and the repaving didn't get it either in the end. Thus the Linux decision. Spyware that runs on Linux doesn't seem to slow it down or get in the way, and I haven't noticed any adware. OK, every now and then I get onto the wrong website (I think overdose of Java) and have to reboot but once rebooted the problem is gone. -- Regards, Pete http://pete-theisen.com/ [excessive quoting removed by server] _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
