Agh! Sorry, I tried the FF 3 version about 3 weeks ago. They haven't been pushing it till now. It actually integrates with IE's security settings. So when I installed it on a Server 2003 box that had IE 7 installed (you know, the version that has everything disabled) everything I tried to do in Firefox wouldn't work! I couldn't download, view pages, etc. because it was using IE7's security settings.
I thought the idea behind FF was that it WASN'T Internet Explorer. So much for that. BTW, I downgraded to FF 2.x again. I'm not touching any version after than until they dump the whole IE integration thing. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Jeff Johnson Sent: Wednesday, August 27, 2008 10:31 To: [email protected] Subject: [NF] Firefox Makeover I received an update for Firefox on my Windows XP machine yesterday and it changed the tool bar. I really like the new look and everything is still in the same place ;^) On my Ubuntu box, there was no update and no change to the tool bar. Do Linux and Windows have slightly different versions? They are both 3.0.1. -- Jeff Jeff Johnson [EMAIL PROTECTED] SanDC, Inc. 623-582-0323 Fax 623-869-0675 Phoenix Python User Group - [EMAIL PROTECTED] [excessive quoting removed by server] _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
