Oh, so now you're an expert on police matters? A judge signed the warrant, and this is in a liberal stronghold, so I would assume the judge is probably liberal. Either way, the judge would not sign the warrant if he/she didn't think there was probable cause. Remember, this is up in yankee land, not down in the evil south.
We always go in wearing guns, and wearing body armor. When we have information that there may be problems, we arm ourselves accordingly. This agency is following standard operating procedures. This is not a group of idiots, like the people in the house. They have trained to do warrant entries, and they are following their training. Your liberalism is guiding your criticism, not your brain. They had a warrant. Nobody stated otherwise; if you read the article you'd know that that was expressly stated. The problem is that the grounds for the warrant, as far as they've allowed people to see, were extremely vague. The show of force, with an attack that included swat team-like armor and weaponry, were completely out of proportion to the situation. There were no weapons of any sort on any of the premises, nor was there any indication that weapons were present. This was a show of force designed to intimidate anyone thinking of protesting the upcoming convention.
