I don't see the same wording in the online version of the privacy
statement  over at
http://www.google.com/chrome/intl/en/privacy.html

Maybe that author got something else?

The keyword  I twigged to, on that quote, was 'display', as in to display
content in a browser.  The way I read it, if it was content that was
displayed in the Chrome Browser, then it was auto-sent back to the Google
Farm.
