Just watched it and I'm glad I did.

1. McCain was awesome, simply sensational in his humor--which was clearly an
opportunity for him to vent his spleen a bit at the media that he did not
waste. And he was graceful and magnanimous in his tribute to Obama toward
the end. I had no idea he could be funny and serious and coherent at the
same time. I wish he'd do this at his rallies.

2. Obama, by contrast, had a hard time being funny at all. He occasionally
chuckled at his own jokes after reading them, as if he'd seen them for the
first time and just got the punchline. Then he turned it into an "America
sucks" speech, which he delivered without stumble or hint he was reading it,
throwing a little of his Black Liberation Theology in for good, godly
measure. I got the sense of an underlying, deep-seated rage, that simply
couldn't let a lighthearted moment remain lighthearted as he concluded.

3. I got really bad vibes from Obama. I got the feeling that he hates
everyone in that room.

4. His condescending remarks earlier in the day about Joe the Plumber were
the first signs of his losing his cool. This event was another.

YMMV. But do watch it if they replay it on CSPAN or anywhere else.
