Vince:

Does anything about Obama's long history of political and professional
relationships with hard-core extremists, his autobiographical admissions,
and the fact he'll likely have a supermajority in Congress -- something
Republicans never had, I might add -- bother you?

Does it not bother you that Farrakhan gleefully calls him "the messiah,"
Oprah "the One," and that he seems to mesmerize most of the media?

What about his support of Raila Odinga as a US Senator? Doesn't that make
you wonder about who he really is vs who he says he is (Mr. Middle Class Tax
Cut)?

Honestly, this is the first time in my life I'm literally terrified at the
idea of this or that candidate winning--and it has nothing to do with his
race, but everything to do with his core spiritual and philosophical
beliefs, which I believe are discernable from a mass of information
including his own memoirs--but not from the media image of him that has been
manufactured. I never believe what campaigns say on the trail, and in his
case I am convinced his "plans" are just smoke screens for a far more
radical agenda.

His liberalism is a lie--what's underneath his nice demeanor, by his own
admission, is very different than what he projects, which he knows is just a
mirror of what people want to believe.

"It was usually an effective tactic, another one of those tricks I
had learned: People were satisfied so long as you were courteous and smiled
and made no sudden moves. They were more than satisfied, they were relieved
-- such a pleasant surprise to find a well-mannered young black man who
didn't seem angry all the time." [Dreams of My Father, pp. 94-95]

"I serve as a blank screen on which people of vastly different
political stripes project their own views." [Audacity of Hope, p. 11]

He is a totalitarian, who will shut down dissent in a manner all those who
claim (without any evidence whatsoever) that Bush did it cannot imagine. I
don't know how it's possible to come to any other conclusion, once you
examine what he has actually done, concretely, and with whom he has done it,
and what he himself says about his inner demons and life mission.

Unless your into that kind of thing, or simply believe it's not possible, I
must be upsetting.
