Senator John McCain made a very heart felt concession speech tonight in which he called for his supporters to unit behind President Elect Obama. He took full responsibility for the Republican losses, but in all honesty, the Republicans never had a chance of electing him president; because, Senator McCain was going up against a perfect storm created over the last eight year by his own party.
President Elect Obama gave a stirring, yet humble, victory speech in which he called for the country to unit with him in putting America back on the path envisioned by the founding fathers. All in all, the Democrats had a very good night, as I watched the election returns come in with great joy, realizing history had been made and the country somehow had changed, forever.
