Freedom needs to be monitored and defended at every step along the way of any society. History shows us that freedom is the exception and that dictatorship is the natural state of countries. The true patriots are those citizens who say NO to unlimited wiretaps; who say NO to Guantamo and say yes to equality and human rights.
I know it is like red-rag to a bull but the rest of the world is so enamored with Obama because of just one thing: because he stands as the hope that he might restore Americas credibility and morality to the level it once had.
