A few years ago, there was a big ruckus about the way Canadian soldiers treated prisoners of war and how they were mistreated once handed over to the American soldiers. The Canadians were not supposed to hand over the POWs to any other military.
The article suggests that president elect Obama may be changing the American approach to the way things are done in Guantanamo.
