Hi Geoff! Are there any eligibility rules for Australian government officers? If there are, what would happen if someone gave the appearance of having skirted these rules? Would there be an inquiry, or would the suspect just stonewall it and his partisans try to shout down the other side? Is there any venue for resolving such questions? What would it look like in Australia if someone whose eligibility was in question and to establish it he/she was asked to show a $12 document but instead of showing it put up a million dollar fight to not show it? Say it was your equivalent party to our Republicans who was doing the stonewall?
